Customer Review
I slowly discovered Karen Ranney read as a source of great novel. The first novel I read by Ranney, when the Laird Returns and it was more than the average book in my opinion. Cautiously, I finally took a second book Ranney, after the kiss and was struck by its size. When I started reading To Love a Scottish Lord, I knew I was testing the author on the quality of their books, this book and put it on my list of favorite authors. To Love a Scottish Lord was aA true love story with a very sexy connotations. Both hero and heroine are unusual for the romantic leads. Both are very friendly, honest, kind, and not a class conscious thought - which has obviously been well received in person!

Hamish MacRae, a man of Scottish descent, was a successful captain of his own ship. In the port of India, he and his crew were captured and killed or tortured. Hamish suffered through months of extensive torture before fleeing into the desert. His brother andFinally, the crew is away. Hamish is brought to Scotland, at his request, to live in an abandoned castle. Most of his wounds are healed physically, but he no longer has use of one arm. But injuries are the worst, those who can not be seen, and they are very strict. Hamish has not only been tortured, he has also lost all respect for themselves and any sense of decency. He just wants to live the life of a recluse in the castle on the sea deserted. His brother, however, notHamish seems to be alone. He brings a well-known healer of therapy vast castle to begin with him. Hamish does not want a healer, but soon finds himself almost obsessed with his beautiful healer.

Mary Gilly, is a widow and healer. Her late husband was a successful goldsmith, and Mary now has a comfortable life of wealth he has abandoned them. It focuses on healing the poor, because they can not afford medical care, and not a doctor. But it is aintelligent woman, who study more than their knowledge and skills healer. This is a true calling of his heart and is very dedicated to the cause. When she is asked, in the deserts of ancient castle, the castle for the treatment of Hamish, she accepted because she knows that her family believes she can help. When Mary met Hamish, she is shocked to see everything he has, both mentally and physically, but hides his shock when they begin their treatment. Hamish does notTreatment, but Mary can be very persistent and armed with a positive attitude, which starts the process anyway. He tries to push with his stubbornness, hostility, rejection, and finally sexual aggressiveness. Marie refuses to give in his games, and they will be attracted beaten withdrawn from the market and people.

In a few days after starting treatment Hamish, Hamish, and Mary both a great physical attraction between them to confirm. Thus, a new form of treatment shouldHamish daily diet. Although Hamish is the typical romantic hero, he will never love, he wants to know Mary needed a way that does not understand. It recognizes that his need for her and asked her to stay with him for an indefinite period. It leaves the small staff will remain at the castle and only Mary and Hamish. Together, they revel in their physical relationship, and the time that the infinite love, so good. This part is very sensual. The sensual scenesIndeed part of the structure and a fixed interest rate 4.25 of 5.0 (more about me) for the scoring guidelines.

As a relationship develops Hamish and Mary is imposed on a sudden change in location. The book takes a sharp turn, but do not lose your interest a little. The status of forces outside the two has only strengthened their support for each other. This is a novel construction continues. It does not come from any suffering that leads to decisions that they can love or not to commit, orany number of hackneyed writing, we see a pattern of conflict in the novel. It is just outside forces that drive them apart, but their heart was never pushed into the process. While both suffered some scars from their past, they mature individuals. They know how to communicate honestly and it is refreshing, a book about two people who are adults and know how to act themselves.

To Love a Scottish Lord is the fourth in the Highland Lord series. The order of this series is as follows:One Man's Love When the Laird Returns and Irresistible MacRae To Love a Scottish lord. I do not think Ranney is not yet finished with this series because there are still some MacRae brothers incurred outside. It would probably be best to read this series in order, but I did not. The two books I read in this series could be a stand-alone books. It appears to be a great show, so if you're one of the books - go ahead, immerse yourself in it. It is fun to readregardless. Waiting now for two other books in this series, I have not read it yet. I am looking in general for other books Ranney because his book, after the kiss (which was not part) of this series of the best novels I've read after a while, and I want to see how these great books they have there.
